What? Who am I? Erm, where do I start... Well, my name is Yuri, I live in Italy and I'm part of generation Z. I'm very shy but that doesn't mean I can't be on social media. When I was a child I didn't know what to do when I grew up (and it's very normal, don't worry 🤗 ) I wanted to be a florist, then a writer, then sell jewelery etc... The important thing was to have my own company, I was simply undecided on which one activities to choose.

 

 

No ahaha , I'm not talking about "being your own boss" or financial independence, I've simply always had this calling. My parents have always been freelancers and I probably had so much respect for them that I was influenced by them and didn't even consider to be an employee. Yes, I had work experience as an employee in the past, I learned a lot, I also had a lot of fun with my co-workers but these experiences confirmed to me that It wasn't my path, I wanted my own company. The idea of ​​selling handmade candles came to me by chance while watching a video on Tiktok.

 

 

Those candles were so beautiful and it seemed so fun to make them, also at that time I really needed a new hobby so I thought of turning my new hobby into a job. It seemed easy but it was quite the opposite, washing off the wax when I spilled it was the worst part 😫.

 

 

For months I tested various types of waxes, fragrances, wicks, I tried mixing multiple waxes, I tested the final candle etc...

 

 

I spent a lot of time and money but I really think my candles are perfect now. For now I sell my handmade candles only in Italy, but I hope one day to be able to sell all over the world and let everyone know the name Yuri Candles 🥹 . I would like Yuri Candles to become one of the first choices when it comes to giving gifts and I would like one day to be able to boast with my head held high in front of people and say "Yes, that's me, I am the CEO of Yuri Candles, the Italian company that with the best community in the world."
